Habrocestum

A group of several ground-dwelling euophryines. The pulex group are ant
feeders, common in the East; they do not belong in the genus Habrocestum,
which is primarily or exclusively Old World and which might not even be
a euophryine.

H. parvulum may be a true Habrocestum.

Identification
With the exception of H. parvulum, the North American Habrocestum are reminiscent of little toads. The abdomen often has two white spots or a cross-shaped marking.Compare to:
Habitat
Forest leaf litter; also wanders up trees. H. parvulum has been found in bogs.
