The only North American respresentative of this common Old World subfamily,
this species is immediately recognized by the tubercles on the first leg.
California, Washington, Nevada.

Identification
Along the front face of the first femur are a series of 3-5 tubercles, each bearing a seta. The carapace side is rugose, and together with the tubercles probably forms a stridulatory apparatus.
Habitat
Bark-dwelling on conifers.
